Simulated role-play demonstrations, the focus of this session, illustrate the practical use of the WDEP system of reality therapy. Client self-evaluation, the core of reality therapy, as well as the incorporation of several Ericksonian principles such as utilization, are highlighted. Participants will gain information about research studies validating the use of reality therapy as well as practical and innovative ideas immediately useful on the job. Handouts suitable for photocopying will be provided.
Educational Objectives:
- List four motivators for human behavior.
- Describe how two Ericksonian principles interface with the WDEP system.
- Critique a summary of two research studies validating reality therapy.

Robert Wubbolding is an internationally known teacher, author and practitioner of Reality Therapy, having taught Choice Theory and Reality Therapy in the United States, Europe, Middle East and Asia including thirteen countries. Dr. Wubbolding has become synonymous with a branch of psychotherapy called Reality Therapy. His books, presentations and courses served to advance this therapeutic application and brought him personal and professional distinction of international scope. His contributions to the theory and practice include the ideas of “Positive Symptoms,” “The Cycle of Counseling,” and “5 Levels of Commitment.”

What is Everything Else?
Everything Else is a product category on Amazon that is meant to be a catch-all for items that don’t fit into any other categories. Over time, as the Amazon catalog has grown and more specific product categories have been added, Everything Else has become less useful and more of a junkyard for cast off and forgotten listings.
Until recently, however.
Why are items listed in Everything Else when they shouldn’t be?
The answer to this is fairly simple. Some sellers are using Everything Else as an opportunity to get around Amazon’s gated category requirements. For example, DVDs with an MSRP of over $25 are now gated Selling certain products and bran… More and require permission to list. So we’ve seen some sellers create new listings in Everything Else to get around these requirements. We’ve noticed similar “workarounds” for other gated or restricted Selling certain product categorie… More categories as well.
Amazon doesn’t like this. It just makes the catalog more of a mess than it already is and ends up creating a worse customer experience.
