Description : Master Inaba Minoru demonstrates basic kata Kashima Shin Ryu Kenjutsu.
Kashima-shinryu (鹿島 神 流) is a traditional martial art, the basic principles of which were developed in the 16th century. The secrets of the craft have been passed down from generation to generation by the Kunia family. Kashima-shinryu acquired its modern form thanks to the efforts of the shihanke of the 18th generation of Kuniya Zenya (years of life 1894-1966, shihanke in 1914-1966).
At school they study kenjutsu (sword fencing technique), naginatajutsu (halberd fighting technique), sojutsu (spear fighting technique), battojutsu (the technique of instantly exposing a sword with a cutter), jujutsu (hand-to-hand combat technique) and bojutsu (bojutsu) (technique).
